Wordpress 2.8 is a different beast and the Automattic guys release new versions frequently. Thus, by the time things get to a book format, it’s too late.

Best book on WordPress I’ve read!
This is, by far, the best book I’ve read on setting up a WordPress blog. Scott McNulty explained all of the options and buttons that scared me at first.
